References:Specimens were found on the underside of dicotyledonous leaves of forest plants. Hosts are Hemiptera (scale insects). Stromata discoid to stud-shaped, up to 3 mm in diam. and up to 2.5 mm high, pale yellow; perithecia immersed, ostioles slightly projecting, translucent, flask-shaped, 300-400 μm long, 150-200 μm wide; asci cylindrical, up to 170 μm long, 7.5-8 μm wide. Ascospores whole, 8-spored, elongate-clavate, 75-120 μm long and 2 μm wide. In culture the colonies on PDA are slow-growing, attaining a diam. of 8 mm and producing conidia after ca. 4 wk on PDA at 20°C. Colonies stromatic with yellowish mycelium, spore mass yellow spreading over the stroma, yellow crystals scattered in PDA with older cultures. Collections in Thailand have only been from Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaeng Krachan National Park and Khao Laem National Park. Collections have been made throughout the year but mostly during the rainy season (May-October).
